How do I start a match?

Open a Messages conversation, tap the app drawer, choose Backgammon, and send a challenge. The sender takes the opening turn.

Can reopening the game reroll my dice?

No. Your roll and unsent moves are saved for that conversation until you complete or undo the turn.

Why can’t I move another piece?

If one or more of your checkers are on the bar, they must re-enter the board before any other checker can move. Legal entry points are highlighted.

Can I change boards during a match?

The board style is locked for an active match so both players share a consistent table. Choose a new style when starting the next match.
